A month ago I wrote a piece on Plaxico Burress and why the New York Giants should take him back.
I wrote that piece partly as a journalist and partly as a fan. I was expressing my feelings towards Plaxico in a positive way and showing him love for what he did for the organization before the incident at LQ nightclub.
I was writing it with the hopes that Plax would reconnect with Eli Manning and help guide the Giants to another title. I thought that Plax was a changed guy, that he learned from his mistakes and moved on to being a more mature man and player.
Yeah well scratch that and the article as well because Plax is still Plax jail or not.
After reading his comments on Tom Coughlin, Manning and the Giants as a whole I would rather Plax plank in mid air jumping off of a building.
To sit there and dis the Giants for not coddling you and Eli for not visiting you in jail was the least manly and childish thing I’ve read in a while.
First off you can’t be mad at the Giants for saying that they were “sad and disappointed” in you nor can you be mad at Tom Coughlin when he said “I’m glad u didn’t shoot anyone…” YOU CARRIED AN ILLEGAL GUN INTO A CLUB WHILE YOU WERE INJURED AND NOT ABLE TO PLAY AND SHOT YOURSELF!!!
It is a good thing that you didn’t hurt anyone and did hurt yourself. How stupid can you possibly be and not be rational on all sides of this?
Secondly Eli Manning doesn’t have to visit you in jail. Eli has a job, a family and his own responsibilities to tend to before you come anywhere into the picture so stop it.
Plax is bitter that the organization didn’t have his back when he did this dumb act. It was their right too, this is a business and what he did killed the Giants chance at a repeat and cast a cloud on the rest of the season. Sorry he can’t see that.
Also don’t question Tom Coughlin’s coaching style. He’s old school, he’s from the Bill Parcells era and frankly he’s done a good job in the six years he’s been in New York. To be upset that he doesn’t play psychiatrist on the sideline and guides you through a bad day is also silly. He expects a lot, wants accountability and wants men to be men. If Justin Tuck, Brandon Jacobs, Manning and others can deal with his style then I guess you don’t have what it takes to work through things yourself.
Pretty much I’m over Plaxico Burress. I’ll always remember the Super Bowl, the game in Green Bay and appreciate what he did. However I can’t rock with Plax anymore. His comments about the fans, the organization and the team prove that Plax is still immature and thinks he should be coddled.
Enjoy being a Jet Plax, you’re obviously not tough enough to be a Giant.
