Now on to Tebow the player, i want him on my team simply for the fact that he makes average players player harder and he is a great teammate and leader, could you image Tebow on the ravens with a Ray Rice and that defesne, wow. i truley think Tim will be a ok passer, ok enough to be a solid starting qb in the nfl. if the 49ers waited for Alex Smith someone should wait on tim tebow, lol.

Players and athletes use God’s name all the time, IF THERE HAS ever been one that is real, and not giving God Praise and then over the weekend going to nightclub and getting pulled over for a DUI its Tebow.

He cant help cameras.

Matt 6:5 is refering to the Saducees and the Phariess of Jesus time that were telling the Jews to do one thing and they would pray on the street corners to show some type of rule or power over the Jew at that time, The reglious leaders were saying one thing when dealing with the poor and then with dealing with the rich they were doing another.

They were more worried about there fancy robes/clothes and feasts rather than really helping out the poor Jews that needed help.

Completely understand your point and thought, ill keep it simple for here, thats not what tebow is doing.

if you pray for your dinner at a restraunt with your family thats not what your doing.

One thing you leave out- Tebow has an effect on his teammates that can’t be measured on paper. They block harder, run faster; they give their all for this kid. He is definitely an awful quarterback. They will beat mediocre teams, but they will never contend unless Tebow learns how to read defense (not the option) and can throw the ball down the field.

Excellent article as usual. Agree whole-heartedly much of what your wrote especially with scripture in Matthew that states to pray in private. This Tebow does NOT do and the cameras just accentuate videoing his entire prayer.

To compare Pat White tho is ridiculous. He took one hit and was out for the season. He was given a chance and has half the frail body that Tim has. Tebow is built like a linebacker with strength and speed. NOT a typical NFL QB.

Ground and pound has been effective in football since the beginning of time and added to it a great defense, will take you a long way. Will it translate to playoff wins and SB Champs, I highly doubt it, but ask the Ravens of 2000.

One thing i didnt read though was how Tebow is a GREAT leader and team motivator. That goes along way as a QB. If Cutler would show some passion and leadership skills they’re a 13win team every year. His team players HARDER when he’s on the field, and they even said so.

I agree the Tebow-hype and media goes overboard and we see/hear about it too much, but ya know, ESPN knows what dictates viewership and puts faces in front of TVs, for love or for hate
